Dismissal of a class action suit for the amount of NIS 1.5 billion

Our firm represented “Pango” in a class action suit filed against it for the amount of NIS 1.5 billion. The suit claimed, inter alia, that Pango causes damage to drivers in that it enables customers to extend the parking time using the application, beyond the time permitted by law, thus preventing other drivers from parking their car in these parking spaces. After we submitted a request to dismiss the suit in limine and a response to the suit, and after deliberation in the case, the court assessed the chances of the suit as weak and at its recommendation the parties agreed to submit an agreed request  in which the claimant would withdraw the suit.
