Precedent: polluting plants will bear the cost of removing excess waste

Our firm won a precedent-setting case and successfully represented Tirat HaCarmel Municipality in an administrative suit filed against its decision to require polluting plants under its jurisdiction to separate waste at the source and to bear the costs entailed in removing excess wastes, upholding the ‘Polluter Pays’ principle. This is a precedent decision following several similar legal proceedings in which local government was required to remove excess waste from the polluting plants.
